Classroom Guidance
- What is Classroom Guidance?
The guidance counselor visits the classrooms to teach lessons that are developmentally appropriate topics including: listening and interpersonal skills, communication, self-awareness, decision making, careers, conflict resolution, and anger management.
Group Counseling
Small group guidance is available on a referred as need basis.
- Students can request a meeting for group guidance at anytime to help with peer conflicts, anger management, life skills, and career choices.
- Rainbows Program runs from Mid-October to Early-May
- Resources for group counseling at local hospitals and churches are held in the guidance office
Individual Guidance
I am available to guide individual students who may need to talk about the difficulties in his/her life. I take individual referrals from the students, teachers, and parents. If a student is in need of further counseling (above what we can address here at OLV), I will contact the parent/guardian about my concerns
